Piskar d.o.o. is a private manufacturing and trading company, which deals with manufacturing and processing thermoplastic films, as well as wholesale and retail trade. This year we celebrate already our 24th anniversary of existence of the company in the Slovenian region. The beginnings were very modest, but we carefully followed the needs of the market.
The result of introducing new technology is that we noticeably increased our production volume in the year 2009, when we set up a new machine for manufacturing film, and a machine for the manufacturing of garbage bags with draw strap. The investments were made with the help of European funds.
The production program covers all kinds of bags and films for use in household and industry.
As the first in Slovenia we offered customers bags in attractive colours and on rolls, which made their use even more practical. With this we tried to achieve that each Slovenian should use garbage bags and in this way contribute to the preservation of our environment according to his powers.

To bring more variation into our offer, we started to represent the company Melitta from Germany in the year 1995. From their program we can offer different alu-foils, foils for food, various bags, baking paper, small household utensils, coffee machines, coffee filters...

For all our efforts to give our products more quality and make them friendlier to the environment, as well as for bringing production closer to the young, we received the Slovenian quality seal in the year 1999. Manufacturing and sale of quality products, as well as professional and quality-focused consultation of our sales stuff distinguish us.

The company Piskar is not only restricted to its factory, but lives with its environment, to which we have also social responsibility. We want to share our business success with the environment, because we are conscious that without progress of the company in our environment we have not achieved the right aim and satisfaction. Therefore we help in the development of sports in Ljubljana and the rest of Slovenia. The name of the company Piskar appears in hockey, football, motorcycle racing...

Already in the year 1999 we joined the all-Slovenian health and ecology campaign of making people conscious about the meaning of preserving a healthy and clean environment, which was conducted by the professional health magazine Vita and lasted throughout the year. Also schools were included in the campaign.

Also health, as the biggest human good, was not forgotten. With a donation to the research chair of the maternity hospital Ljubljana in the year 2003, we only confirmed our determination to treat people not only as customers and consumers, but as a company that wants to ensure higher life quality on all levels. We also devoted funds for giving grants to future experts in the frame of Rotary Club Ljubljana.
